Just Hooked Fishing Charters runs trips across New Smyrna Beach, Daytona Beach, Ponce Inlet, the Indian River, and the world-famous Mosquito Lagoon.

Mosquito Lagoon

Redfish Capital of the World

This iconic fishery is all about shallow-water precision and big rewards. Located just south of Ponce Inlet near New Smyrna Beach and Edgewater, Mosquito Lagoon is a maze of grass flats, oyster bars, and winding creeks that hold massive numbers of redfish and sea trout year-round.

You’ll often find redfish tailing in just inches of water, offering prime opportunities for sight casting with light tackle. It’s also home to black drum, flounder, snook, jack crevalle, and even tarpon depending on the season. With high salinity and slow-moving tidal flows, it’s a flats fishing paradise — and it’s best fished with a guide who knows the lanes.

Bonus: Wildlife is everywhere. Expect dolphins, manatees, and rare birds cruising the shallows right alongside us.

Indian River Lagoon System

Hidden Gems and Heavy Hitters

The Indian River Lagoon is one of the most biologically diverse estuaries in North America — and a prime zone for inshore fishing. Running from Daytona Beach through Port Orange and Edgewater, this fish-filled system is stacked with red drum, spotted sea trout, snook, and tarpon.

We know the productive spots — from mangrove shorelines to sandy potholes — and tailor each trip to the season and tide. Plus, the Indian River is home to 27% of Florida’s salt marshes, giving us endless terrain to explore and fish.

Fun fact: From certain spots, you can see the Kennedy Space Center’s Vehicle Assembly Building in the distance — it’s one of the most unique sights you’ll ever spot while holding a rod.

Ponce Inlet

Gateway to the Deep

Our offshore trips start at Ponce Inlet, giving us direct access to the Atlantic and the Intracoastal. We run 10–20 miles out targeting snapper, grouper, triggerfish, kingfish, cobia, barracuda, and shark — all depending on the season and sea conditions.

It’s also a launch point for our nearshore runs and a key fish highway where inshore meets offshore. Fast access, no wasted time, and year-round opportunities.

Daytona Beach, New Smyrna Beach & Beyond

Where the Lagoon Meets the Atlantic

Our local waters blend two world-class fisheries — the calm, productive lagoon systems and the wide-open Atlantic. Whether you’re cruising mangrove channels in New Smyrna or heading offshore from Daytona Beach, you’re fishing water that holds year-round potential.

These barrier island waters are teeming with life — and we’ve spent decades learning every drop-off, channel, and hidden corner that holds fish.

📍 Orlando visitors take note: You’re just over an hour from one of the best saltwater fisheries in the country. Forget the theme parks — let’s go fishing.
